Hundreds of years ago, it is said, that there was a kingdom called Nandavara on the banks of the river Tunga in Karnataka near Raichur district, or another namesake village Nandavaram located in the Banaganapalle mandal of the Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh.<br /><br />ದಸರೀಘಟ್ಟ ಚೌಡೇಶ್ವರಿ ದೇವಿಯು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ತುಮಕೂರು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ತಿಪಟೂರು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಇದು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಿಂದ 72 ಕಿಮೀ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವವರು ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ತಾಯಿಯ ದರ್ಶನ ಪಡೆದರೆ ಖಂಡಿತ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಪರಿಹಾರವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ.
